Ice Baths Sydney
Ever wanted to try an ice bath but terrified of the cold?
Fear of the cold is one of the most common reasons I hear for avoiding ice baths.
Generally, the fears and stories we hold onto are much worse than actually doing the very thing we are afraid of. You can either let your fears control you or learn to overcome them and make them work for you.
Ice baths allow you to get comfortable in the uncomfortable helping you build emotional and mental resilience. So that when life happens and it always does, you’re ready and able to cope with whatever comes your way.
What Can I Expect With Ice Baths & Breathwork?
The morning begins with a 15–20-minute breath flow followed by 2 minutes in the ice!
Get Fired Up For Your Day
There are a number of physical and mental health benefits of both breathwork and ice baths which are explored below. I know for myself and my clients ice baths leave you feeling more focused, energised, joyful and ready to face the day.
There is no better way to start the day. But don’t take my word for it checkout some of the experiences from people who have attended the breath and ice sessions below!

“My first time 6 weeks ago was a scary experience...at first. The feeling you get during the day is amazing and now I have booked for my 6th Sunday in a row. I highly recommend to everyone and the 15 meditation and breath works before you get in really helps.
Thank you Fil for bringing me and to Deb for always encouraging me each week”
What Are The Health Benefits Of Ice Baths & Breathwork?
Breathwork
-
In simple terms, breathwork is about bringing intentional awareness to your breath.
Why do breathwork?
If you think about how we live in the modern day. We are constantly surrounded by stimuli. A ding of your phone, work demands, loud sounds, traffic, and the list goes on.
Unfortunately, your body can’t tell the difference between the jolt to the system of a mobile phone ding or a lion coming to eat you. Majority of people are living in a heightened stress or activated state. This can lead to fast paced and poor breathing habits potentially resulting in:
panic attacks/ hyperventilation
difficulty concentrating or sitting still,
sleep disturbances,
chronic fatigue,
emotional disturbances,
heart disease and the list continues.
Breathwork has been seen to help change an individual’s physiological state. Helping you move from a stress state into a calm (parasympathetic nervous system) state which can result in:
reduced stress, anxiety, depression
improved emotional resilience
improved mental clarity, focus, concentration
boosted cardiovascular and respiratory health
potential to improve neuroplasticity

The cold has both physical and mental benefits. By exposing the body to stressors in a safe environment it can help the body to learn to down regulate. This means, you become more resilient and everyday stressors easier to handle.
Here are just a few of the benefits of jumping in the ice:
Body composition
improves metabolism
creates brown fat (which uses white fat as fuel and helps keep you warm)
impacts blood sugar levels
Improved mood
builds mental resilience
reduces stress and depression (releases dopamine and noradrenaline)
Physical performance
reduces chronic pain and inflammation
improves immune system
maintains muscle power after exercise and
reduces delayed muscle onset for up to 96hrs
Mental Health

Ice baths help you build belief that you can do hard things in life. By taking action, they help to challenge your thinking, the stories and limitations you hold about yourself, which most of the time are self-imposed or learned.
Jumping in the ice empowers you to act in spite of your fears, to create a new story about who you are and what you can accomplished.
This can help build belief in other areas of your life demonstrating to you that maybe you can:
overcome binge eating and eat without losing control
face the fear of having a challenging conversation with a boss or family member,
create a life of abundance with a deeper sense of self and appreciation for your body.
In addition, participating in breathwork and ice baths as part of a community can help build social connections and reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation.
